Inhouse and External Waste Mgt Services-Gulpur Hydropower Project 102MW

During both the construction (5 years) and operational phases (2 years) of the Gulpur Hydropower Project, SEE Solutions provided comprehensive waste management services. Our efforts aimed to enhance waste management practices and contribute to the improvement of biodiversity in the Mahasheer Poonch River National Park.

Key Activities Undertaken:

  1. In-house Waste Management Services: SEE Solutions implemented waste management strategies within the project premises, including waste segregation, recycling initiatives, and proper disposal methods. This ensured the efficient handling of waste generated during project activities.
  2. External Waste Management Services: In addition to managing waste within the project site, SEE Solutions extended its services to manage waste generated by project activities in surrounding areas. This included the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
  3. Biodiversity Enhancement in Mahasheer Poonch River National Park: SEE Solutions collaborated with stakeholders to implement biodiversity enhancement initiatives in the Mahasheer Poonch River National Park. This included habitat restoration, conservation measures, and community engagement programs aimed at protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of the park.
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Throughout the project duration, SEE Solutions conducted regular monitoring and evaluation to assess the effectiveness of waste management efforts and biodiversity enhancement initiatives. This allowed for adjustments and improvements to be made as needed.

Outcomes:

  1. Improved Waste Management: The implementation of comprehensive waste management practices led to a reduction in environmental impact and improved cleanliness in project areas and surrounding communities.
  2. Enhanced Biodiversity: Through biodiversity enhancement initiatives, SEE Solutions contributed to the preservation and restoration of ecosystems within the Mahasheer Poonch River National Park, leading to the conservation of native flora and fauna species.
